Episode 1: The Bride Cast into the DeepA storm gathers as Ilara's village prepares a ritual sacrifice. Declaring that the body of a pure maiden will appease the deep and spare the settlement, the elders place Ilara in a flower-covered boat while her mother watches. Ilara begs to be saved, but the boat is pushed into the dark water and she is pulled beneath the surface. A tentacled creature seizes her as she sinks. Ilara reaches an ancient sword resting below, and the blade answers with a ring of golden light. The power brings her face to face with a horned stranger who catches her underwater and asks whether she has finally returned to him.Episode 2: Breath from the Dragon KingIlara wakes in the deep as a towering dragon form circles above her. Ethel draws her close and studies the woman he believes has returned after a long separation. He is surprised by how fragile she seems and mocks how easily the water has broken her strength.
