When he cannot pay and realizes his magic is still gone, Ava sets the terms herself: he will work off the debt. The former vampire king is handed a mop and ordered to clean toilets, beginning a humiliating new life beneath the clinic's control.Episode 3: A Million-Dollar BountyWerewolves storm one of Lucas's halls and attack the vampires who still serve him. Their leader ridicules the absent Night Lord for getting his teeth fixed and calls Lucas a toothless stray. At the clinic, Lucas reacts furiously to news of the assault, but Ava reminds him that without restored power he cannot even retract his claws. The werewolves escalate the hunt by presenting a bloodstained sack and announcing a one-million-dollar bounty on Lucas's head. Ava keeps him working while the enemy begins tracking the reward. By the end of the episode, a werewolf has caught the scent of the bounty, bringing the hunt closer to the clinic.
