Bella rides through a rain-soaked city to make a delivery when a convoy of black cars blocks the street. Armed men surround her, and Julian steps out while she insists that she is only delivering food. He treats her fear as weakness, orders his men to take her, and pulls her into the vehicle despite her protests. Inside the car, Bella continues to appear terrified while Julian warns that she made a fatal mistake. The episode's closing perspective suggests the encounter may serve Bella's own hidden purpose: beneath the panic, she identifies Julian by name and frames the night as his mistake, not hers.

She begs him not to shoot and presents herself as a frightened outsider with no known background. Julian intervenes, orders Victor to lower the weapon, and claims Bella as someone who is not to be discarded. The rescue deepens the danger rather than ending it: Julian handles her possessively and moves her farther inside the guarded house. Once she is beyond the doors, Bella's private calculation becomes clear. She has completed the first step of an infiltration, entered the fortress, and intends to turn the predator into prey.Episode 3: The Poisoned NeedleInside Julian's bedroom, Bella hides a needle and prepares to kill him with a toxin, dedicating the act to her dead first love. She approaches Julian while he is vulnerable, needing only a scratch on his neck for the poison to work. Julian catches her before she can strike and pins her down, interpreting her resistance as attraction. During the struggle, Bella drops the needle and loses her immediate chance to complete the assassination. Julian continues the intimate threat while Bella tries to recover control of the situation. The episode ends with the weapon on the floor and Bella trapped close to the man she entered the fortress to destroy.
